E Bar L Pack List 

The weather is only consistent in the fact that it changes constantly and the change can be extreme within a week or a day.  The temperature can swing from cold in the morning to hot in the afternoon back to cold in the evening.  The following list includes most essentials but ultimately it is your choice.

  • Jeans for riding and colder evenings

  • Tights or hose to prevent chafing under your jeans

  • Helmets are recommended for riding.

  • A cowboy hat to protect from sun and trees. A stampede string is a must for the safety of those behind you on a ride.

  • Western Boots are required.  They must have leather soles with heels.  We rent them for $2 a day.

  • Knee high socks that come up above your boot tops to prevent chafing.

  • Long-sleeve button down shirts for riding.

  • T-shirts.

  • Shorts.

  • Sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets for colder mornings and evenings. We have E/L gear for sale at Sid’s Dump.

  • Hiking shoes, boots or other closed toe shoes for shooting.

  • Sunglasses, cap, sunscreen and bug spray. 

  • Rain slicker but no ponchos, as these tend to spook the horses.

  • Flashlight or your phone

  • Bathing Suit

  • Sports Bra

  • Water shoes for the river.

  • Rash guard shirt for tubing.

  • All toiletries, we have soap.
